I first saw the Influenster US on social media. The concept is where people sign up and as members can post product and service reviews as well as try products they may get sent. It wasn’t too long before this concept popped up in the UK and I signed up as soon as I could. I was extremely lucky to be sent the Max Factor Vox Box by Influenster a few weeks ago. One of the requirements is to share photos and content of the box on as many social media channels as you can and to disclose that you received it free from Influenster so there’s 100% transparency.
I was so excited to receive 3 Max Factor items in my first box. I haven’t used Max Factor lip products for a while so I was keen to get familiar with them again. I do use their mascaras frequently though.
Max Factor Colour Elixir Universal Lip Liner £4.99
It gives great definition and shape to your lips and can be used with any colour lipstick. It also helps prevent any bleed that can sometimes occur when you use just a lipstick and it clearly defined my lips and made the lipstick stand out. Buy now
Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick (Dusky Rose) £7.99
I was pleasantly surprised to see this shade. It’s not a colour I usually wear but I had wanted to try this shade for sometime now. It smelled like something you want to eat and I couldn’t wait to apply it to my lips. It lasted a long time but did need reapplying after food. It felt lovely and soft on my lips and kept them feeling supple and did not dry them out. I will definitely be trying some other shades of this lipstick. Buy now
Max Factor Honey Lacquer (Honey Lilac 150) £9.99
Max factor claims this product gives you 3 irresistible lip benefits in 1 product: intense colour of a lipstick, the shine of a gloss and the soft feel of a balm. This is not a shade I would ever wear and I do have to say it did not suit me at all. I am also not the greatest fan of these lacquers as some tend to feel very sticky. This was a thinner consistency, which I preferred, than other ones I have tried. This too, like the lipstick lacquer smelled very sweet however it did feel odd when I was eating so I had to take it off and reapply. I would have loved to try a red shade of this instead. Buy now
I really enjoyed trying these Max Factor products out and it has brought back my love for the brand which I do not use enough. The products are not only excellent value for money but they also come in really pretty packaging. Do you use Max Factor? What products are your favourite? Did you try this doc? What did you think?
