Loving La Eva – The art of Organic Beauty

LA Eva The story of the brand is not only an interesting and inspirational one but it’s also a very creative one. If you follow their Instagram account (link here) you will see very unique and wonderful product shots and if you have had the pleasure to see their packaging you will see even more creativity flowing through this brand. It’s no wonder I fell in love with them after reading their philosophy and story.

The Story
La Eva’s evolution is of an artisan studio specialising in cold process soap making. Based in Oxfordshire, a light fragrance studio created and packaged batches, blocks and bars of hand made soaps. They were a platform for exploring palettes of scents, the potential of natural raw ingredients as well as the care and attention it takes to create something truly beautiful. The brand has long established a close working relationship with farms, suppliers and the Soil Association (see Hayley from LBQ’s post on organic beauty here). Recently a wind of evolution took place and artists and photographers joined the path La Eva was taking. This Oxfordshire studio is now a space of broader inspiration and creativity and I can’t wait to go and visit them.

LA-EVA comes together where the senses meet skincare, art crosses with a holistic philosophy and luxury is aligned with simplicity.” Pure. Sensual. Unique.

BEAUTIFUL: a sense of harmony, purpose and beauty. Inspired by the idea of synaesthesia that captures the interplay of our senses and their synergy.
NATURAL: products draw properties of pure raw elements and stay clear of unnecessary additives. The products are certified organic, vegan, and made on a farm in central England.
UNIVERSAL: belief in simple beauty, the packing is minimal and there are refill options to prolong the life of the beautiful glass bottles.
UNITS OF WELL BEING: the brand is grounded in a holistic perception of well being. The products are considered units of well being.

The brand a has four piece collection that contains a hand wash and body lotion in two fragrances: ROSĒUM contains geranium, citrus notes of petitgrain and warm clove for a sensual, relaxing and uplifting experience; BLU contains chamomile blue, cedar wood and vetivert for a soothing and calm experience.

As well as the wonderful story and philosophy of this brand I was firstly attracted to the packing of these products. Chic luxurious amber glass apothecary-style bottles with a truly beautiful label, designed by the Artist in Residence, Rose-Marie Caldecott. I can force these stylish bottles becoming a must-have in every bathroom. I much prefer glass bottles over plastics as they give a luxurious feel as well as being more environmentally friendly, which is very important for any organic brand.

I was delighted to try out both fragrances in the form of lotions which are 81% organic, 100% natural and certified by The Soil Association. It is becoming ever increasingly important to verify that brands which claim to be organic are truly what they say they are and this is best done by certification from The Soil Association. Both La Eva lotions are white, a lovely thick consistency and lightly fragranced. They absorb easily and the skin felt hydrated and nourished.

Considering La Eva is a truly organic brand, the prices for the products are incredibly affordable and can be purchased directly from them here. The beautiful glass bottles would make a great addition to any bathroom. This is a truly unique and creative brand with equally unique products and is definitely worth a try.

Really intrigued by this brand and totally appreciate how reasonable the prices are for a natural brand. Fantastic. Will definitely check them out.
